Terms and Conditions

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use Nakoda eBooks Library. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements and that all information you provide during registration is accurate, complete and current.

You may create an account using your email address and password, phone number with OTP verification, Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to or use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect unauthorised use, violation of these Terms, or fraudulent activity. You may not create multiple accounts, share your account with others, or transfer your account to another person without our prior written consent.

If you are not satisfied with a purchased eBook, audiobook or magazine, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not read, listened to or downloaded more than 10 percent of the Content. Refund requests can be submitted through our orders module within the app or by contacting our support team. We reserve the right to approve or deny refund requests at our discretion based on usage data and the circumstances of each request. Partial refunds may be issued in certain cases where only a portion of the purchase qualifies for a refund. Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method or as wallet credits within 7 to 14 business days. Subscription fees, wallet top-ups and referral credits are non-refundable. Free Content and Content accessed through promotional offers are not eligible for refunds.

Any User may apply to become an Author through the Become an Author request flow on the Platform. Author applications are subject to our approval and we reserve the right to accept or reject any application at our discretion. As an approved Author, you may upload and publish eBooks and audiobooks on the Platform through your Author dashboard. You retain all intellectual property rights to the Content you publish on the Platform. By publishing Content, you grant Nakoda eBooks Library a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-based license to display, distribute, promote and sell your Content on the Platform across all supported devices and formats. You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses and permissions to publish the Content on our Platform and that your Content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights or any other rights of any third party. Authors earn revenue from sales of their published Content and from the subscription revenue pool. The commission rate and revenue pool distribution are configured by the Platform administrator and may be updated from time to time. Authors can track their sales, earnings, reader count, reading time and completion metrics through the Author analytics dashboard. Monthly payout reports are generated and payouts are processed to the bank account details provided by the Author. Authors may receive tips from readers which are credited to their earnings. We reserve the right to remove any Content that violates these Terms, infringes intellectual property rights, contains illegal or harmful material, or is deemed inappropriate at our sole discretion.
